PROTECT OUR ELECTION PROCESSVOTE NO on CI-126

CI-126 is a constitutional initiative that will amend Montana’s Constitution. CI-126 is called RANK CHOICE VOTING (RCV) also known as TOP 4 VOTE GETTER (Top4).

RCV/Top 4:

• Makes voting harder

• Reduces confidence and participation in elections

• Suppresses the vote resulting in lower voter turnout

Montana citizens, including Republicans, Democrats and Independents, oppose CI-126.

Say No to RCV in Montana

PASSING CI-126

• Makes Montana’s elections more vulnerable to tampering

• Makes Montana’s voting system less secure

• Will lead to some voters having their ballots removed from the final count without them ever knowing about it

• Would lead to candidates winning an election even if they initially did not receive the most votes.

• Could lead to voters in lower-income areas having their ballots thrown out at a higher rate than voters in higher-income areas

Other states, such as Alaska, that have enacted RCV/Top 4 are now in the process of trying to repeal it because of the unforeseen devastating consequences. Montana needs to learn from the lessons of other states and VOTE NO on CI-126!
